Home / Press Releases / Sierra Wireless has completed the previously announced acquisition of M2M Connectivity

Today, we are excited to announce that Sierra Wireless, a true leader in the global IoT landscape has completed the previously announced acquisition of M2M Connectivity.

For the last 18 years, M2M Connectivity has been integrating wireless technologies into M2M and IoT solutions, supported by Australia’s best engineering talent.  Through our new managed services, we have taken the first steps to deliver a range of secure, scalable offerings to cater for mission critical applications for the IoT.

Sierra Wireless started its business in 1993 and has grown to more than AUD1 billion in annual revenue.  As experts in the IoT ecosystem, they are developing products and services for enterprise grade security, platforms and device management.  These technologies will be the cornerstone of our future offerings.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being our loyal customer and look forward to working with you on this exciting journey. We will be able to provide you many new services and areas of expertise in the future. We look forward to discussing those in more depth with you. However, there are several things we want to point out that will not change:

  • You will continue to work with the same people at M2M Connectivity as you have in the past. All of our staff are being retained in their current roles.
  • The services that we are providing to you will continue to be offered under the new ownership of Sierra Wireless.
