M2M Connectivity Announces New connectBlue Wireless LAN Dual-band Modules

M2M Connectivity has launched the new connectBlue OWLAN221a and OWLAN222a Wireless LAN Dual-band Modules.
The connectBlue OWLAN221a and 222a modules are designed for heavy-duty use in modern industrial applications. Based on the latest IEEE 802.11 a/b/g and n (draft 2.0) standards, the dual-band modules are developed to meet highest requirements when it comes to reliability, robustness and performance.
The dual-band modules operate well both on the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz bands facilitating coexistence between wireless technologies. With a choice of an integrated antenna or dual external antennas, the OWLAN221a and OWLAN222a support 802.11n single stream which enables signal speeds of up to 65 Mbps. The modules can also operate in either infrastructure mode, ad-hoc mode or in mesh networking (802.11s).
The OWLAN221a and OWLAN222a modules are compatible with the existing connectBlue 802.11b/g as well Bluetooth and IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee modules, and also feature extremely low power consumption and full radio approvals with CE and FCC certificates.
