Internet Plug-In
Overview
Wavecom have designed our IP stack so that you can build your own set of proprietary applicative protocols on top of it. However, we think that when it comes to basic applications such as File transfer, Email sending and receiving, object retrieval/sending and basic field application monitoring, standard protocols such as HTTP, FTP, SNMP, POP3/SMTP provide the best solution. This is why we propose the Internet Plug-In.
All the features of the Open AT® Internet Plug-In can be delivered as an Open AT® library called WIPlib, interfaced through BSD like APIs , in order to facilitate the development of your networking application based on Wavecom’s Open AT® OS. The features of the Internet Plug-In are also addressable through AT Commands, thanks to the WIPsoft Open AT® Application provided by Wavecom and downloaded in our Wireless CPU®s at the factory.
