Sierra Wireless C-GPS Plug-In
Overview
Sierra Wireless C-GPS (Companion GPS) solution eases the integration process of the GPS functionalities with our GSM/GPRS Wireless CPU® s by offering a ready-made library as an Open AT® Plug-In. This library drives a companion GPS chipset: Opus One from eRide, Inc. The Plug-In facilitates integration, minimizes the physical size of the final product, and reduces the cost of the complete design.
The C-GPS chipset receives the GPS data, performs the preliminary processing on the data and forwards the data to the Wireless CPU. The Open AT application executed on the Wireless CPU performs processing based on the received data. The application does not need to handle low level interfacing with the GPS chipset as Sierra Wireless provides a C-GPS library which performs this task.
