Overview
Providing wide-area wireless data access at speeds up to 3.1Mbps on the downlink and 1.8Mbps on the uplink, the Sierra Wireless AirPrime MC5728V intelligent embedded module also provides voice communications over EV-DO Rev A networks for a variety of OEM devices. Plus, it's fully backward compatible with EV-DO Rel 0 and 1xRTT networks -- all in a convenient PCI Express Mini Card form factor.
The MC5728V can be integrated into existing 3G/NextG applications using Sierra Wireless modules such as MC8790V to provide a CDMA variant with minimal engineering effort. PRI settings for major US CDMA operators are available.
